If I had to go and talk about every single amazing quality that my mother showed off during her life, we would not have the chance to do anything else today. So I will instead focus on some of the lessons and qualities that I can look back on with a smile and a chuckle.
My mother was constantly teaching me about different things, and one of the fondest memories I have with my mother is when I was learning to make the French vanilla fudge. While I was learning to make this laborious recipe that required way too much stirring, I played the guardians of the galaxy soundtrack that has a lot of music from when she would have been growing up. And for the next hour while we made the fudge, she and I danced away in the kitchen. She would often comment on how I had obviously never had any dances in school when I was growing up, but hey, after that experience I at least know where I got it from.
The other set of memories that I will be sharing today with all of you is all of the family board games and wii games that we would always play together. My mother always enjoyed playing the wii with us, and she always tried really hard to keep up with her video game adept children. One of her favorite games to play with us was called Nintendo land. And I will never forget watching her Mii run around in a Mario costume waiting to be hunted down and tackled by her toad dressed children.
Thanks for everything mom, I’ll never forget.
Love David
