Obituary for Joseph Armand Marcien Leclerc

Joseph Armand Marcien Leclerc
Joseph Armand Marcien Leclerc
July 20, 1938 – December 29, 2017

Armand passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg on December 29, 2017.
He leaves to mourn his children Richard (Colleen), Roger (Sharon), and Darren. He also leaves behind his brothers Gerry(Elaine), Robert (Debbie), John, his sisters Rose (Vic), Janine (Bill), and Gisele, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, his best friend since school Ray (Audrey) Pelletier as well as numerous other friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Valerie and his parents Anne-Marie and Antonio Leclerc. Dad was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on July 20, 1938 and lived his whole life in Winnipeg. He had many careers in his lifetime working at Eaton’s, Christie Biscuits, Assiniboine Credit Union, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Salesman, and Courier Driver.
Dad enjoyed reading, listening to music (especially opera) and learning about history in his later years. When he was younger and more active he played Hockey, Golf and Bowling. He enjoyed family gatherings and game nights with his family when they were younger. He liked travelling and they had many family road trip vacations. He was always watching the local pro sports teams on TV whenever he was able to and this month with his health deteriorating he joked that the Winnipeg Jets will probably go on a winning streak and do well in the NHL standings because he wouldn’t be around to enjoy it.
Thank you to the staff at Riverview Health Center for the kind care they provided to our dad in his final days and to Cancer Care at Victoria General Hospital for their care and services over the past couple of years.
Per dad’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service held. The family will have a private gathering to be held at a future date.
