Aunty Annie

Christmas and birthdays were memories of waiting for the mail to be picked up and seeing what had come from Aunty Annie. I still have the book of dreams she got me when I was 16 and the needlepoint picture of the vase of flowers she made for mom. Her sewing was amazing and I was fortunate to have her sew my grad dress and mom's dress for my wedding. Mom enjoyed all the bus trips they had together and there were always funny stories to be told. Laughing about buying swimsuits when they went to Vegas; going to an outdoor concert to watch Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers only to run into Lenny; making sure not to be the last ones off the bus because by the time they got off the bus, everyone would be getting back on. Picking up Aunty Annie at the Broad Valley corner because she took the bus from the city to visit us and taking back beet leaves to make holopchi. Thank you Aunty Annie for my memories and planning all the bus trips---mom looked so forward to all of them!
