Angelina Reyes
May 31, 1922 – May 2, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angelina on May 2, 2016. Angelina passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Chua Teng and a son Jaime.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Jose “Peping” (Amelia) Chua, Dante Chua, Rebecca (Bob) Queyquep, Leticia (Felicisimo) Opinion, Teresita (Alejandro) Lim, Caroline (Gil) Tocjayao , grandchildren, Maritess (Paul), Jeffrey (Jenny), Jennifer (Mac), Marissa (Don), Jake (Nicole), Andrew, Michael, Gerald, Mac, Arjay (Jenny), Raymond (Rhea), Brian (Ingrid), Angel (Ram), Anne Therese, Leovina Angela, Ralph Anthony, Joseph Emmanuel, Dog “Boogie”, great grandchildren and her extended family Oscar and Jessica.

Angelina Hernandez Reyes lived a full life. She was born on May 31, 1922 in Sta. Cruz Manila, Philippines. There, she met Chua Teng as a young teen, and married him in the midst of WW2 at the age of 21. Two years after, their first child Jose “Peping” Chua was born. In the coming years, their family continued to grow— bringing into life 6 more children: Dan, Ruby, Letty, Jaime, Tessie, and Carol. Angelina worked all her life as a home maker who selflessly devoted her life for her family.

In the summer of 2001, she immigrated to Canada to live with her daughter Carol in Winnipeg Manitoba; and in 2004, she was granted her Canadian citizenship. With a zest for travelling around North America, she visited places such as Vancouver, Calgary, Fargo, Minneapolis, and Wisconsin.
