Florante Balderrama Esguerra
May 7, 1950 – November 26, 2018
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Florante Esguerra on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Seven Oaks Hospital.
Florante is survived by: his wife Virginia; son, Elroy (Milcah); daughters Jocelyn (Joey), Anna (Rufino), and Peggy (Ed); sister Chit in the Philippines; and his grandchildren Ainsley, Brayden, McKenna, Londyn, Jalen, Izabella, and Aiden.
He is preceded in death by: his father, Anastacio; mother, Lorenza; and his brothers, Bono and Ruben.
Florante was born in Tagig, Rizal, Philippines on May 07, 1950 and came to Canada in 1972. He began his career at MacDon Industries Ltd. in 1978 as a Brake Operator in Fabrications where he retired 37 years later in October 2015 due to health conditions. Florante has said he would still be working there if not for his condition.
Viewing/Lamay will commence at 6:00 PM and Vigil Prayers will be said at 9:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Winnipeg, MB.
A mass will be held on Monday, December 03, 2018 at 11 am in St. Edwards Church, 836 Arlington St. Winnipeg, MB.
Cremation to follow.
