Doris Bosco
May 20, 1941 – October 2, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved wife, mom and Oma on Oct. 2, 2018 with her family by her side.

Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Manfred; daughters Sue (Ken) Vanderbos and Rita (Don) Kupiak; grandchildren Eric (Chantal) and Krista (Daryl) Scherpenzeel and Brendan and Hailey Kupiak; step-grandchildren Nicole (Nick) and son, Zachary, and Shawn (Josey) Versluis; family and friends.

Doris was pre-deceased by her parents, Paul and Resi Wiefel, and younger sister, Beate. Born in Germany, Doris studied and worked in the pharmaceutical field until marrying the love of her life, Manfred, and moving to Canada to start their new life together in Winnipeg. Mom worked for many years in the downtown Hudson Bay Co., retiring in 1986 to care for her grandchildren. She and dad spent many happy summers in Camp Neustadt.

Oma was a kind and caring woman whose pride and joy was her family. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new grand-baby due in early October.

A special thank you to the emergency responders, and staff in the ER and ICU at Concordia Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care.

A celebration of Doris’ life will be held at Mosaic Event Centre, 1006 Nairn Ave. Winnipeg, MB., on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris’ memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
