Obituary for Edward Arthur Vivian

Print
With deep sadness, the family of Edward (Ted) Vivian announces his passing on September 11 in Winnipeg, with loved ones at his side.

Ted is lovingly remember by his daughter Shelley, sister Jean King, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Irene and Murray Vivian, brothers Tom and Richard Vivian, and sisters Ruth Hemming and Margaret Donald.

Ted was born in Winnipeg on September 24 1937, He spent most of his career at Winnipeg Silver Plate where he crafted beautiful chalices and other church goods.
Ted had many interests and hobbies; He was an avid reader, especially of John Le Carre novels, He enjoyed photography and inspired many to pick up a camera.

He loved exploring Manitoba, and often travelled to favorite spots like Gimli and Lockport.
He was a student of language, a talent he put to good use during family Scrabble matches. Most of all, Ted was a man of great character, a kind and generous soul who was quick to lend a hand. Though he will be dearly missed, his influence will carry on. Nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A private family gathering is planned.
