Obituary for Martin Sarmiento

Martin Sarmiento
Martin Sarmiento
April 10, 1964 – August 21, 2018

Martin Pandy Sarmiento, a selfless father, brother, friend and husband has passed away on August 21, 2018 suddenly at the age of 54. He will be forever remembered by his compassionate family, his devoted wife Ailyn Ventura Sarmiento; children Katrina and Gabriel; brothers Renauld, Ramon, Pipo and Ellen, Chito and Myla; nephews Joseph, Marc and niece Olivia; extended family and many supportive friends.
Martin was a friend to everyone, easy to approach and can always crack up a joke to make anyone smile. He believed in family values and the bond between one another that should never be broken. Quality time was one of the main family values he focused on the most. He would go out of his way to do anything for his family and stand up for them in any situation or circumstance. Martin was always high spirited that tried to bring the best out of everyone even when times were rough. He enjoyed playing basketball and tennis as one of his hobbies. He grew up in the Philippines and finished High School at FEU and Bachelors of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering at UST. He came to Canada on June of 1996. His endearing personality will be immensely missed through our hearts even as time goes by and as glee extends to our soul. Martin will always be by our sides, although, intangible, he will be looking down at us through the dreams we aim to achieve up above in the gates of glory.

Lamay/Viewing will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd Winnipeg, MB starting at 6:00 pm.

Mass of the Resurrection will be on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 9:00 am at St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St. Winnipeg, MB.

Interment will be at Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4477 Main St, West Saint Paul, MB R4A 2A8.
