Cecilia Bugia
April 11, 1933 – January 7, 2018



It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecilia Bugia on January 7, 2018 at Health Sciences Hospital at the age of 84 years. After a courageous battle with many illnesses (Multiple Chronic Diseases).

Cecilia was predeceased by her husband Salvador Bugia, siblings: Rodolfo Gesmundo, Catalino and Guillermo.

She left behind six siblings; Florentina, Herminio (Elsa), Cely (Ruben), Evelyn (Kenji), Lito (Juliet), Susan (Leyland) and nine children; Teody (Bella), Alex (Flor), Rico (Chato), Sally (Nestor), Mylene (Pabbie), Ronald (Marjorie), Joseph (Jane), Noel (Vicky), and numerous eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Cecilia was born in Calaun, Laguna, Philippines on April 11, 1933. She migrated to Canada in 1990

The Family would like to thank Dr. Semus, Dr. Araneda and Dr. Dowhanik and all the staff of GD5, GD4, GD3 and HSC ER for their care and time for Cecilia.

Viewing/Lamay will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 commencing at 6:00 pm at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg MB. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm with Msgr. Enrique Samson Jr. presiding.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Winnipeg, MB. with Msgr. Enrique Samson Jr. celebrant.


A reception for family and friends will be held at Mosaic Reception Centre, 1839 Inkster Blvd. following the mass.
