Obituary for Virginia Salvador

Virginia Salvador
Virginia Salvador
November 10, 1950 – December 14, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Virginia Salvador at the age of 67.

She passed away peacefully on December 14, 2017, surrounded by her family. Her unexpected loss has left profound sorrow in the hearts of her family and friends. Virginia leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Oscar Salvador, her children, Emilyn (Patrick) and Rex, and grandson, Noah.

She also leaves to mourn her loss her sister Placida, her brothers Antonio Jr. and Emmanuel, niece Maryjane, and nephew Eustaquio, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents Antonio and Sinforosa, sister Mary, and Isabel brothers Alejandro and Villamor, and great-nephew Hernando.

Virginia will forever be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, a nuturing mother and doting grandmother, a loyal sister, a caring aunt and a compassionate friend, whose gentle smile could instantly fill a room with warmth. She was gracious and kind and her patience was unwavering.

She always liked to help others, often saving what she could in order to send gifts to her family and friends in the Philippines. She adored her family and loved the simple pleasures of spending time with her grandson, Noah.

Her life was full of joy in her final days as she helped to care for Noah and see him take his first steps and hear his first few words.

Following her move from the Philippines to Winnipeg in 1989 with her family, she settled into a home in Fort Rouge where she loved to welcome friends and relatives. Her home was always full of life, laughter and celebration. A seamstress for over 20 years, she retired in 2013, and enjoyed spending her free time between Winnipeg and her home in Isabela, Philippines. In Isabela, she had begun to build the home she had always dreamed of having and reunite with her many friends and family members. Viriginia also had a love and compassion for all animals, and was known in the family as a “dog whisperer” for her uncanny ability to connect with all the pets.

Virginia will be deeply missed by everyone she knew and loved. There are no words to express how much her loss is felt.

Lamay/Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral/Mass will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Memorial Parish, 249 Arnold Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
