Gregorio Jr. Lirio Celones
1957-2017
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gregorio Jr. Lirio Celones on
July 18, 2017.
He is survived by his wife Aida; children VJ and Jaclyn; granddaughter Rilee; brother-in-law Diony Castillo
Rigor was predeceased by his son Ryan; father Gregorio Sr. Celones, mother Felicana Celones; brother Ohlet Celones; nephew James Celones; father-in-law Jacinto Castillo and mother-in-law Aurea Castillo.
He will be remembered by the Celones family, relatives, extended family, and friends throughout Canada, Philippines, and United States.
Rigor was born on March 7, 1957 in Binagonan Rizal, Talim Island, Philippines. He came to Canada on November 24, 1972 with his Nanay Fely; sisters Dely and Dory; and brothers Bobby and Eddie.
In 1975 he met Aida Castillo and they got married by a judge on May 12 and at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church on September 1, 1979.
Rigor was generous, proud, and outgoing. He always tried new things and was willing to do anything with anybody. He made sure everyone around him was having a good time and was dependable when they needed help. Those who came for Healot, was very grateful for his help.
Rigor worked for CP Railway as a mechanist for 35 years. He was a Human Rights Activist and Instructor for CAW Union. He loved bowling, playing the guitar, fishing, karaoke, and golfing. He was passionate about music and politics. Ask him for an honest opinion and he will tell it like it is, like it or not. Although the was very stubborn and set in his ways, he was very loyal to those around him just like he was loyal to The Broncos and The Habs. Anywhere he went he was sure to put a smile on people's faces. And even though he is not here physically today, he will still and always have an impact on people's lives.
