Avelina “Belen” Mendoza – Deluz
January 13, 1920- March 26, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nanay Belen on March 26, 2017; beloved wife of Mateo - deceased; mother of seven children, Lucy (Herman - deceased), Rogelio - deceased (Ester), Cita, Frank (Thette), Enna, Mario and Irene; grandmother to Rommuel (Luizen), Sheryll Ann (Dundee), Erwin jay, Joy (Marvin), Sherrylyn (Jeric), Chris, Vanessa; caring great grandma to, Raine, Rodge, Ruszel, Mj, Maimai and Macmac.
She will be fondly remembered for her gift of healing (hilot), making suman, love of bingo, sprightly steps in dancing karakol and loving care and sacrifice for her family.
We thank God that we had 97 years to laugh with her, love and be loved, although we wish we had more time with her, we rejoice that she is now in the arms of Jesus surrounded by her angels.
Family and friends are welcome to say goodbye to her at the viewing on Friday, March 31 from 6 pm til midnight at Mosaic Funeral Chapel 1839 Inkster Blvd. Winnipeg, MB.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, April 3, 2017, 10:00 am. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow in the Philippines.
